Loading and Unloading Services

Once everything is packed into boxes, we'll start loading your belongings. Our movers have lots of experience packing items into our trucks. They know how to use as much space as possible while still keeping your belongings safe.

Large items may need to be disassembled to fit through your doors or to take up less space in our trucks, like sheds, cubicles, pool tables, beds, and children's outdoor play equipment. We can even reassemble them at your new location, if you'd like.

And if you want to save money by dissembling your belongings on your own, so that you don't have to pay our movers to do it, feel free. It's up to you.

A big factor in the time—and cost—it takes to move you is the distance between the moving truck and where we are loading and unloading your belongings to and from. Sometimes there are long walkways, lots of stairs, or only one elevator. If your location is difficult to access, you can help speed up the move by working with us to see if there are any special areas we can access or reserve, like elevators, parking spaces or gates that are typically locked.

It's important you're present on moving day or you designate a representative who can be there for you. You or this person should be there until the very last item is placed into the moving truck, and then you need to meet us at the new location. We need someone who can answer any questions we have and agree with any notes we've taken about the condition of your belongings.

We also offer:

  • Large item moving. Sometimes a customer hires us to move a single large item like a piano or a pool table.

  • Moving inventory, supplies, or equipment from one business to another.

  • Runners to lay on the ground to protect your floor. With movers walking in and out of your home, office, or commercial building, we want to keep your new floors as clean as possible—especially during the wet season.

  • Pads to protect your doorways. Moving large items through doorways can be a tight squeeze. We don't want to leave any nicks or scratches.

Loading and unloading tips:

  • If there's anything you're particularly worried about, such as jewelry, electronics, or family heirlooms, consider moving them in your own car.

  • Don't have our movers arrive the same day you're having your floors done or your walls repainted. Too many people working at once will slow everyone down.
